Among else, he serves as a Board member for Neocredit in Berne, a 100% Vaudoise subsidiary offering unsecured loans to Swiss SME’s; at Foxstone in Geneva, a start-up offering private investors a fraction of a property as well as mezzanine debt financed by the crowd. As an insurance analyst he was rated best analyst in Switzerland among all sectors in 2003. Furthermore, he was active for the Finance chapter of the Geneva Association between 2002 and 2010 and in 2006 wrote a paper on “Reputation of the insurance industry from an investor’s perspective”.
In addition to his Masters in Business Administration at H.E.C. Lausanne, in 2018 Stefan trained at the Board Academy at EPFL and in 2022 successfully completed the Bern-Rochester CAS for Board Members.

Claire joined the Board of HDI Global SE in January 2022 with global responsibility for the performance of Property, Engineering, Marine Cargo (Underwriting and Claims) and for the global Risk Consulting team. Prior to this role Claire had been the Managing Director of UK and Ireland for HDI where she oversaw the transition of the UK branch to approved regulatory status post Brexit, the addition of new product lines, reshaping of the organisation structure and the re-underwriting of the property portfolios.
Prior to HDI Claire worked for the Allianz Group, predominantly AGCS, for 32 years in a variety of UK, French, Regional and Global roles, primarily in the corporate and multinational insurance area . Claire spent the first 20 years of her career in underwriting, eventually specialising in onshore oil, gas and petrochemicals, for which she was made the Regional Hub leader for EMEA and AP in 2002, before moving to become CUO Energy in 2006. In 2007 she switched functional areas to Operations working in various countries before taking on more global roles leading to her appointment as head of Allianz Multinational (IP product) and Global Head of Operations (insurance operations, real estate, BCP, procurement) – holding these two roles until resigning in January 2019 to join HDI.

Max Chee joined Aquiline in 2017 and is a partner and head of the Aquiline Technology Growth (ATG) team, Aquiline’s venture capital group dedicated to making early and growth stage investments across Insuretech, Fintech and related Enterprise. He comes to the firm with 18 years of private equity and venture capital investing experience. Prior to Aquiline, Max was a Managing Partner at Millennium Technology Value Partners, where he led more than 20 investments at all stages across consumer, enterprise and financial technology, from early growth to pre-IPO companies.Previously, he led technology growth investments for Mellon’s Private Equity Group and worked at Salomon Brothers in the Financial Institutions Group. As Head of Digital Sales and Partnerships at AXA Germany, Volker is in charge of direct/digital distribution (web, aggregators, phone/remote), also including partnerships and bancassurance. Beforehand, he drove the build-up of digital bancassurance in Germany and within ING/AXA’s global partnership team in France.
Before joining AXA, Volker led Generali’s global innovation activities, including the sourcing and scale-up of key digital capabilities along the insurance value chain in collaboration with Venture Capital and tech/startup companies, after he headed corporate strategy and development for Generali’s digital insurer CosmosDirekt in Germany. Previously, Volker worked for Allianz Global Automotive and advised a range of leading financial institutions at McKinsey & Company.
