For example, a ski insurance can be taken out for three days via the hepster-Shop, which protects both the person and the equipment. hepster business created a highly performant platform ecosystem, that enables insurers to launch digital and on demand insurance products in the fastest possible way; just one day. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of hepster’s key technology suppliers. Digital products like EC2, Beanstalk, Autoscaling, and S3 Simple Storage enable them to grow in scalable environments, work cost-effectively, and develop new solutions. An ecosystem designed in this industry-standard cloud environment meets the needs of all participants. hepster’s platform and the company itself are frequently delivering new modules and features to all participants of our insurance ecosystem. At the hepster webshop customers can buy insurance products, just as easy as traditional online shopping in just 3 clicks.  They have products around the topics of sports and adventure. For example, a surfer can secure himself and his equipment for a seven-day surf vacation. A marathon runner is able to get an accident insurance for just one day, which is tailored directly to his needs and he can, for example, also insure his Sportwatch.

Who is hepster?
Founded in May 2016 by Alexander Hornung (CEO), Christian Range (CEO) & Hanna Bachmann (CMO). hepster is headquarted in Rostock, Germany.

It all started in 2015 with the idea of providing accident insurance in accordance with the situation and for just one day. Christian and Hanna have a background in the insurance industry. At some point they could hardly believe that the world changed rapidly, you could buy everything online, except insurance products. They launched in May 2017, now they have 100 partners and more than 10.000 consumers.
